Peace and Order, Security, and Ability to Serve Enrichment (POSASE) Extension Program
The findings of the research that Mark E. Patalinghug and his fellow members
of the Criminology Department caried out were used as the basis for the
development of this extension program. The findings of the study were presented in
a publication with the tille "Correlales of Crime Prevention and Perception of Safety
Using KAB Model serves as the basis in crafting this proposal. The findings showed
that having a greater understanding of safety and security against crime led to а
decrease in the amount of fear around the possibility of becoming a victim of
crime. In addition, the degrees of fear, the likelihood of becoming a victim of
crime, and overall contentment with one's personal safety are all greatly
Influenced by one's awareness of ways to avoid crime, as well as one's perception
of their own safety and security. In addilion, the findings of an earier study
conducted by Patalinghug (2017) tilled "Implemenled Crime Prevention Strategles
of PNP In Salug Valley, Zamboanga Del Sur, Phillppines" revealed that crime
prevention activities will have a significant impact on the likelihood of being a
victim of crime. In addition, the study also revealed that school crime prevention is
effective in reducing future victimization.
